Raising children in today's world can sometimes be a bit of a challenge. Raising them with Godly principles is even more of a challenge. That's the reason for this blog. I was a young mom with little experience on how to parent a child at all but God's way was even more challenging. My mom had four children. Although she did her best to raise us with the knowledge of who God was it was a far cry from having a relationship with God. I heard all of the stories as a child from my father. While that was good it was not enough to prepare me for my life as a new mom.

I always say don't reinvent the wheel. Find what works for you and use it. In my case there was one book that I love. I have read it over and over again. I still use it today. The book is called "The Power of a Praying Parent" by Stormie Omartian. This book helped me through some of the best and worst times. I am thankful to God that I stumbled across it. I pray that it blesses you as it has blessed me. In my opinion this book is a must have for any parent. I still use this book today even though my child is all grown up and out on her own. There is also the book titled "The Power of Praying for Your Adult Children". I like them both but if I had to choose one it would be the first one I mentioned. It is relevant in almost any situation you might face or are facing.
